The European Forum of left, green and progressive forces organises the joint online seminar \u00ab\u00a0A vital Labour Day\u00a0\u00bb<\/strong>: this seminar aims to support trade union activities ahead of the mobilizations on May 1st, and will take place on April 28<\/strong>th<\/strong><\/sup> (World Day for Health and Safety at Work), from 17h00 to 19h00 (CET) <\/strong>with EN FR ES IT PT and DE interpretation<\/strong>.\u00a0 Register in advance for this webinar (link below).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event focuses on the consequences of the pandemic on labour relations and on good practices that could serve as a reference for future common campaigns and actions. Speakers include:

Yolanda Diaz<\/strong>, Vice President and Labour and Social Economy Minister of the Spanish Government (Spain), Heinz Bierbaum<\/strong>  President of the European Left, Luca Visentini<\/strong> Secretary-General of ETUC, Luc Triangle<\/strong> Secretary-General of IndustriAll Europe, Philippe Martinez<\/strong> Secretary-General of CGT (France), Maurizio Landini<\/strong> Secretary-General of CGIL (Italy), Unai Sordo<\/strong> Secretary-General of CCOO (Spain), Hans-Jurgen Urban<\/strong> Executive Coordinator of the Secretariat of IG Metall (Germany), Cristina Faciaben<\/strong> International Secretary of CCOO (Spain), Heidi R\u00f8nne<\/strong> International Secretary of the Danish Trade Union Confederation (Denmark), Joao Barreiros<\/strong> International Secretary of the CGTP (Portugal).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Heinz Bierbaum<\/strong> and Yolanda D\u00edaz<\/strong> will open the seminar. The event will be closed by a European Forum representative, and will be composed of three sessions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the first session – Towards a vital Labour Day<\/strong> – secretary-generals and representatives of IndustriAll, of the Spanish CCOO, of the Italian CGIL, of the French CGT and of the German IG Metall will take the floor with the aim to create a \u201cmomentum\u201d before the mobilizations on of the 2021 International Workers’ Day. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Luca Visentini<\/strong> will open the the second session – Is the EU the key to deliver social solutions?. <\/strong>International secretaries will intervene in an open discussion about European issues, paving the way to the questions and answers session – Speak out loud<\/strong> – where we expect a lively discussion with the public.
