It challenges militarisation and cuts to public services, while promoting international solidarity. Follow the European Forum website and social media in the week leading up to March 8 to take part in an interactive campaign where your voice counts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Why we\u2019re doing this<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Governments are increasing military and arms spending by 5%. That money doesn\u2019t come from nowhere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It comes from healthcare, education, care work, housing, protection from violence, and women pay the price first.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>#My5Percent<\/strong> <strong>is a collective feminist action in the 7 days leading up to March 8, International Day of Women\u2019s Rights.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>WE FLIP THE QUESTION:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>What does 5% more for weapons really mean in our lives?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>What would we do with that money instead?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>No experts needed. <strong>Lived experience is political.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How do we fight back together?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>There are three simple ways to join the campaign.
