[:en]The European Forum of Progressive, Ecological And Leftist Forces which was held from 9-11 November 2018 in Bilbao would like to express its strongest concerns on the outcome of the elections in Brazil and express its solidarity to all democratic forces which face a historic challenge in the country. With the election of ultra-right-wing politician Jair Bolsonaro as the new president of Brazil, democracy is in severe danger, which can be countered only with combined forces. This election will not only have an impact on Brazilians democracy and population but also on Latin America and the world as a whole.<\/p>\n

The politics of Bolsonaro against women, the opposition, the poor, the indigenous and LGBT community and many others means a massive danger for the human rights in Brazil. With his election, the implementation of an anti-social model is to be expected, which will cause a raise in poverty and inequality, as well a destruction of the welfare state and the expropriation of the strategic resources of the country. The European Forum of Progressive, Ecological And Leftist Forces calls for:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. A close observation, in a detailed and systemic way, of the situation of Brazil and further developments<\/li>\n
  2. We will watch the situation especially with a focus on three main issues: democracy and human rights, the lawsuit against Lula (a political prisoner of the Brazilian antidemocratic forces), and the environmental question.<\/li>\n
  3. The Forum expresses its solidarity to the whole Brazilian progressive forces that struggle with the economic, social and political setbacks that endanger this country.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    [:es]El European Forum de fuerzas progresistas, ecologistas y de izquierdas, que ha tenido lugar del 9 al 11 de noviembre en Bilbao, quiere transmitir sus grandes preocupaciones por el resultado de las elecciones en Brasil y expresar su solidaridad por todas las fuerzas democr\u00e1ticas que se enfrentan a un desaf\u00edo hist\u00f3rico en el pa\u00eds. Con la elecci\u00f3n del pol\u00edtico de ultraderecha Jair Bolsonaro como nuevo presidente de Brasil, la democracia est\u00e1 en grave peligro y solo se puede defender aunando fuerzas. Esta elecci\u00f3n no s\u00f3lo tendr\u00e1 impacto en la democracia brasile\u00f1a y su poblaci\u00f3n, sino en toda Am\u00e9rica Latina y el mundo entero.<\/p>\n

    Las pol\u00edticas de Bolsonaro contra las mujeres, la oposici\u00f3n, los pobres, los ind\u00edgenas y la comunidad LGTB, as\u00ed como otros colectivos, representa un gran peligro para los derechos humanos en Brasil. Con su elecci\u00f3n, se espera la implementaci\u00f3n de un modelo antisocial, lo que provocar\u00e1 un aumento en la pobreza y la desigualdad, adem\u00e1s de la destrucci\u00f3n del Estado de Bienestar y la expropiaci\u00f3n de recursos estrat\u00e9gicos en el pa\u00eds.<\/p>\n

    El European Forum de fuerzas progresistas, ecologistas y de izquierdas hace un llamamiento para:<\/p>\n

      \n
    1. La creaci\u00f3n de un Observatorio que vigile de manera minuciosa y sistem\u00e1tica la situaci\u00f3n de Brasil y su desarrollo futuro.<\/li>\n
    2. Dicho Observatorio se centrar\u00e1 en tres grandes aspectos: democracia y derechos humanos, el proceso judicial contra Lula (un preso pol\u00edtico de las fuerzas antidemocr\u00e1ticas brasile\u00f1as) y cuestiones medioambientales.<\/li>\n
    3. Expresar su solidaridad por todas las fuerzas progresistas brasile\u00f1as que luchan contra las dificultades econ\u00f3micas, sociales y pol\u00edticas presentes en el pa\u00eds.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      [:eu]Bilbon azaroaren 9 eta 11 artean ospatutako Indar ezkerti, ekologista eta progresisten European Forumek Brasilgo hauteskundeen emaitzek dakarkioten kezka handia eta herrialdean erronka historiko bati aurre egin behar dioten indar demokratiko guztiekiko solidaritatea adierazi nahi du. Jair Bolsonaro politikari ultraeskuindarra Brasilgo presidente berria hautatzeaz geroztik, indarrak bilduz baino ezin da defendatu arrisku larrian dagoen demokrazia. Hautaketa honek Brasilgo eta bere biztanlerian ez ezik, Hego Amerika eta mundu osoan ere izango ditu ondorioak.<\/p>\n

      Bolsonarok emakume, aurkari, pobre, indigena eta LGTB komunitate nahiz beste elkarte batzuen kontra ezarritako politikak arrisku handia dira giza-eskubideentzat Brasilen. Bere hautatzearekin, eredu antisozialaren ezarpena espero da; honek pobrezia eta desberdintasunen handipena ez bakarrik, ongizate-estatuaren suntsipena eta herrialdearen errekurtso estrategikoen desjabetzea ere eragingo du.<\/p>\n

      Indar ezkerti, ekologista eta progresisten European Forumek hauetarako egiten du deia:<\/p>\n

      1. Begiratoki baten sorkuntza, Brasilgo egoera eta bere ondorengo garapena zehatz eta sistematikoki azter dezan.<\/li>\n
      2. Begiratoki honek hiru gai handiri eman behar izango die arreta: Demokrazia eta giza eskubideak, Brasilgo indar antidemokratikoen preso politikoa den Lula presidente-ohiaren aurkako eraso judiziala eta ingurugiroari buruzko gaiak.<\/li>\n
      3. Herrialdeko zailtasun ekonomiko, sozial eta politikoen aurka borrokatzen duten Brasilgo indar guztiekiko solidaritatea adieraztea.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
